Vegas Baybee!

I'm going to try to work my way around silly blogger, but will keep this short as I'm completely annoyed now. These are some of the photos from our trip, I of course took over 1 million. It's what I do :) We had a great flight out, and passed the storms headed to Colorado.

We stayed at Caesar's Palace, it was beautiful. The entire hotel was decked out with poinsettias and garland, and those little holly berry bushes I believe? It was beautiful.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas?? Well, unless you blog about it :) We abused the buffet at the Rio our first night, and I couldn't resist photographing the desserts. What is the Italian name for that ice cream? That's what they called the ice cream, one is chocolate the other hazelnut. A lemon meringue tart, two chocolate truffle thingies, fruit with cheesecake in a chocolate cup and crepes Suzette I believe? I really liked the blackberry and raspberry in the fruit cup, they were HUGE!

I had fun playing with the camera getting shots of all the lights. On the left is of course the Paris casino, our friends stayed there. He paid to take his 2 kids to see Cirque de Soliel, and they thought it was 'silly'. I could cry. We bought tickets for my father-in-law and his woman for Christmas, but since there was so much to do we didn't go ourselves. Had Monkey said it was 'silly' I woulda kicked him. I hate when teens are trying to be cool. Grr. And the guy on the right was standing outside of the Bellagio casino watching the fountains. I couldn't resist photographing him, and his HELLO KITTY backpack? Seriously now??!

I'm not very cultured and had no idea that if you add a big bottle of bath bubbly to a bath which has jacuzzi jets... that it creates chaos. Whoops :) But Monkey loved it, so that's all that counts. Of course he had to take a shower after his bath, just to get rid of all of the bubbles! But the cleaning ladies put more bottles of bubble in our room each day, so doesn't that mean chaos is welcome?? :) And WHO puts polished marble on a bathroom floor? It was like a skating rink each time someone took a shower. That's just insanity.

The pools were heated, but not very effectively. Monkey was determined to swim though, so we went on down. There were only 2 other children in the pool, and the occasional person walking around. It's a shame, too, such a beautiful area. MrNV jumped in for a while, but eventually gave in. He couldn't get dressed fast enough when he got out of the pool. It was funny.

Monkey would check daily to see if anyone was using the topless pool. He thought it was funny, and I think he didn't believe me that it was actually topless. I think MrNV was also intrigued by the whole 'topless' and 'cold' possibilities, but they were both disappointed. BWAHAHAHAH! But it really was topless, we asked the valet that helped us get to the room. He pointed it out to us, but was pretty certain we wouldn't see any excitement this time of year. Ach well :)

We were hanging out in front of Caesar's when these photos were taken. The tree was gorgeous, it constantly changed colors. I believe it was a fiber optic tree. Reds, blues, striped, multi-colored.. it was great. And MrNV chuckled at the Toni Braxton image on the hotel across from us.. it was hUgE!! And he asked me, "I wonder who is staying in the room right .. there." ... pointing to that place celebs like to bare when exiting cars... BWAHAH! Is kinda funny :)

The walk to our tower was a tour of over-priced shops. Seriously over-priced. We glanced in the window of one chocolate shop, and there was a chocolate dipped strawberry for around $12.00. That's just outrageous. But they had beautiful poinsettia displays, as usual. And this Oriental lion was outside one of the restaurants.

One of our favorite places, which we visited twice, would be the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton Hotel and Casino. The first day we had lunch, and different characters would wander through the restaurant. I'm not sure what type of alien the blue guy was, but he was really very cool. But my favorite was the Klingon, he was there both days. On the second day we went through the rides, there are 2, and you can ride them as many times as you like. So MrNV, Monkey and 3 others went through a few times, and I sat in the restaurant and enjoyed a drink. The Klingon walked through and glared at me, then poked at my purse with his wicked awesome blade thingy. It was funny, my purse for the trip was a red satin Santa purse with fuzzy stuff around the top. He sort of grunted, and I apologized for being so foofie :) And he walked off. With our lunch, the Monkey had a fruit juice drink with a chunk of dry ice in it to add excitement. I had a Long Island Iced Tea, but I'm not sure how they made it blue? They both smoked... it was fun. The girl stirring the brew is beautiful Beta's daughter. And there were really great replicas of the Enterprise hanging from the ceiling, and also of a War Bird. I believe it's called a War Bird? I love that they have a cloaking device. I need one. I bought a communicator pin.. I can now press it and it makes that super Star Trek sound.. and I think I can be beamed up? I'll let ya know.

The boy eating bugs at the MGM Grand.

We also watched the lions at the MGM Grand. That was beautiful. They were fast asleep laying on the glass, I couldn't resist taking a photo of their big paws. Woah!

Has anyone seen the Treasure Island (Oh, wait, now known as 'TI') show lately? Not sure where Treasure Island is going with this, but it's a bunch of hoochies dancing around on the ship. VERY corny. I'm not adverse to sexy, but it was totally corny. People around me were chuckling, it was almost embarrassing. They even took down the really cool Treasure Island sign with the skull and crossbones and replaced it with this huge ugly 'TI' sign. Really lame, I was sad.

We went to the Stratosphere on our last day in Vegas. I was very excited, I have always wanted to go to the top. However, my small brain forgot that I'm afraid of elevators. Stupid stupid girl. So, it didn't hit me until we were in it and we started our ascent. HELLO!!! I'M GOING UP TO THE 106TH FLOOR!! TIME TO PANIC!! Of course, gotta stay cool. Can't give the kid any new phobias. Once I was up there, I was OK and we joined Beta, her daughter, my father-in-law and his woman for lunch. The restaurant rotates, very cool. However, there is a huge steel girder, some sort of support thing.. and as it rotated closer to us I became more anxious. MrNV kept commenting that I was breaking out in hives. I couldn't even look the direction of the girder. So, that was lame. I'm lame. I know. And I then had to get back into the box of death to go back down to the main floor. I can't stand the fact that there is only a floor between and 106+ stories of screaming death. I've had nightmares about things like that. Hate it.

I know, it's a statue of David. But I thought it was funny. Monkey was not amused.

More photos at Caesar's.

Our flight home was delayed due to the snow in Colorado. There were other flights delayed, and we had to wait for them. My father-in-law was hanging out relaxing at the gate. I'm sure he needed it! We didn't see much of him the entire trip, he and his girlfriend were out dancing every night! My husband called one evening, Monkey and I had already turned in.. it was almost 2:00am! "You won't believe what I'm looking at?!?!"... "What???".... "I was walking by this really nice nightclub, it's like an old ship. I looked at the dance floor and there was a couple tearing up the dance floor and everyone was cheering them on. It was my DAD!!" AHAHAHAHAH! He rocks. He and his friend are awesome dancers, and even though it was a modern club they were still putting everyone to shame :) They were super partiers.

So, these are some of the photos. We had a lot of fun. Caught a magic show, Monkey loved it. And a few other things. We all had an excellent time. Oh, and is this the greatest gift bag???? AHAH!

Holly Jolly Christmas

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We've been in crazy mode since returning from Vegas, I can't wait to post some photos. We had a great time. Today was a WONDERFUL Christmas! It's always great when family and friends get together. Of course, it is also an excuse for us to spoil the Monkey rotten. We are, indeed, bad parents.

He was very excited, this year was Nerf Dart Tag kinda year! A while back they had a sale if you purchase one of the larger kits, you would get a free gun. So Grumpa purchased the set, and got a free gun... we purchased the machine gun (it rocks!!) and got a free gun.. now he's armed and dangerous :) One of his friends came over this evening, and they had a great time testing them out.

A Monkey overwhelmed by gifts.

My brother and his woman dressed as Mr and Mrs Ho Ho, and this is also my bearded mother. We've tried everything, but can't get it to stop growing.

And his bearded Grumpa. Facial hair runs rampant in the family.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!!

T-ired!

Can't post youtube links anymore since I updated to beta, but see if this link works for you. It's video of Monkey's first flight, he was cracking me up :) I can't believe it's 4:22 at home. Crap.

And can you believe it snowed the first day we arrived? It didn't stick, so it was gone by the time we arrived. But that's just insane.

K. Slipping into a coma now.

Cruising on the laptop :)

I thought I would get the laptop all ready for our vacay, and get my email info set up in here. My geeks don't come until the 28th to securely hook up my wireless, so I guess I'm stealing from one of my neighbors :) AHAHAH! So it works! This is pretty cool. I just had to post my FIRST post with my laptop. Pretty neat-o. I can't wait to try it out at the hotel. This thing has a built in webcam. I'll just spin the computer around and leave it on all day so you guys can enjoy the view from our hotel room :) Well, or you can watch to make sure the maids don't steal my crap! It's funny though, I'm working at my desk and if I stop for a moment I find myself reaching for the mouse on my desk.. versus using the one built into this. I'm such a dork.

Well, hope everyone is having a great week! Signing off on my HP Pavilion dv6000. I don't know what it is... but I like it :) Maybe someone out there has one like it and can tell me what's wrong with it before I find out the hard way :0 I don't mean to sound braggy, just love my new toy. Ask Chal how often I get to buy toys :) Well, that don't come from seedy stores and require 'D' batteries . BWAHAHAHAH! I mean, it's just a puter. When I buy my jag... I'll be quiet :)

Rotten Rotten Bad Naughty 'Friend'

My buddy Bunny had a scrapnight, and didn't invite me. Don't you think this is horribly rude and cruel? As I have no friends, especially none that like to do anything involving scissors, glue, photos and paper. And she blows me off yet again. So.... don't you think it's time I hook up my video camera to my PC and download that night of drunken karaoke? Because I have it. Documented. Bunny the dancing karaoke queen. I'll let y'all vote... yay or nay? Oh, and if you vote 'yay' you get a cookie. If you vote 'nay'.. you have to sniff Blu's pits.

Pssst... Sirdar!

I'm going to Vegas :) AAAAAAAAHAHAHH!!!!! OK, and I just Googled for a photo of the pool where I'll be, and this dude showed up. He's killin' me with his Patriotic Speedo! I hope he's still there when I get there! He's just ASKIN' to be blogged! OK, not that I can talk.. but a Stars-n-Stripes Speedo? C'mon now. Is he a famous comedian??! And now that I think on it, it could have actually been a thong! I can't see the back? Eeeeewwww! OK, maybe I'm not going to Vegas. Well, I won't leave my room. Crap!

PPOOSSTTCCAARRDDZZZ

Hey, if you want a postcard from Vegas email your addy and I'll send one! That way.. well, that way I can rub it in that I am in Vegas and you isn't! AHAHAHAH! I promise I won't sell your address to perverts, Scientologists or debt collectors.
Man. Santa is SO going to pass me by this year. Meh, who cares, I'll be in Vegas Baybee!!

Freakish Weather Stuff..

Today our temperatures are to be in the low 60's. It has been a beautiful week, Monkey has only worn a t-shirt and a sweatshirt in the mornings. And tomorrow? The forecast is 68! I just can't believe it's almost Christmas. We're getting ready to head to Vegas and I think it's going to be colder there! Holy cow! Maybe it will snow in Vegas for us :)

OH.. and that's it..

I should be working, I'm such a slackass. But head's up, the Golden Globe nominations are coming up. So get out your movie notes and check with your odds makers because it's time to win a FREE gift from Monkey Boy if your list of winners WINS!!! I'll be posting the request for your thoughts... eventually :) SBS and AnniE were my last winners!!

Shipping this week..

I did get a chance, over the last freakin' few months, to finish a scrapbook for my friend from Taiwan. Now that she has totally forgotten her trip here :) But my friend Bunny will be happy with me that I actually FINISHED a scrapbooking project. Crap. I'm burned out now :) I'm gonna stick to my journaling with little pictures and scribblin's because that was some serious work! Here are a few of the pages. I included my sisters, mom, step-pa and her sister in the book. I had fun doing the 2 flowers of my sister and Andrea's sister. And I had to manually punch out ALL of those words with these little letter punches I have. Then I had to try to fit them together. And then, when I was done, I realized I duplicated some of the words. CRAP! I sent the book home with the sister I do talk to, for her to have the other sister sign it before I send it. There is a little card for each person to write something personal. And I think she got mad, she wouldn't sign it. Bitch. And then I realized it was prolly cuz I've never created anything like this for her. But, that would be because a scrapbook page with the words, "Bitchy, whiny, self-absorbed, selfish, immature, spiteful, greedy and manipulative " and a variety of other words would not be as fun to create? :) AHAHAHAH! I have 2 sisters, the one in the flower is sweet. She's annoying at times with her QVC calls, but I still love her. But the other is just wicked. Someday I really will post the 6 page letter she sent to our family about what shitheels we are. My sister and brother are the only ones that talk to her, and my brother talks to her only when he HAS to. It's been going on 2 years now I think? She's divorced 3 times, and doesn't have any pets. I mean, don't most women at least love animals if they're alone? Nope, not her. When she left her last man she left the cocker spaniel with his mother. That's just cold.

Let the bodies hit the floor..

MrNV sent me this link today. Man, this is some crazy stuff! But I love how they mixed it with this song. AHAH! Click HERE to see it. Oh, and crank up the speakers :)

Crazy busy.. want to cry :)

December is supposed to be the slowest time of year for our business. Supposed to be. I could cry. Topped with bronchitis keeping me up all night, and working until 4am .. I just could cry. I could. But I won't, because I don't have time. :) Plus we're taking a vacation just before Christmas, so EVERYTHING has to be shipped before we leave. I'll prolly just cry on vacation. And there will be 10 of us going, and so I'll surely be GREAT fun to be around :)

But I have been busy. And doing lots of fun things with my computer. Bought a new widescreen flatscreen monitor.. and I'm giddy. It's beautiful. But I had to upgrade my PC to recognize it.. and I upgraded my RAM for sport. And it's a beautiful thing. AND we bought a laptop. I'm a big ol' ugly PC girl myself, we have 3 computers that run full time.. all the time... so now we have a 4th :) Which is beautiful and cool and sits in it's little funbag. It will ROCK for tornado chasing.. it has wireless internet. And a built in webcam. And a little remote control which pops out of the side so that we can watch movies from afar. And the mouse pad is awesome, my father's has that little black rubber thing in the center of the keyboard which I loathe. And it's white. I'm in love :) And I'm spoiled. And so I need to get back to work to pay for all of my new toys. ..sigh..

Nana brought Monkey Boy his annual Gingerbread House yesterday. No licking the screen!! It's already 1/2 eaten.. it had already been picked at by the time I caught these photos. I know, we're not supposed to eat it. But I haven't been shopping, and we're all in SUPER NEED SUGAR MODE NOW OR SOMEONE WILL DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH... so unfortunately the little Gingerbread House is our salvation :)
Anyway, back to work for me. I hope everyone is doing great! I've been checking your blogs, just don't have the patience for all this new BETA logging in complication to comment lately. And then MrNV walks in with one of his "Are you done yet?" comments and a beat-down begins. Poor MrNV. He's going to be so ready for this vacation :) Too bad I'll be going with him!

Vicious Beast Dinner Guest

Tonight I decided to have one of those small side Caesar salads from Wendy's. However, I couldn't finish it because this vicious beast came up and ET it!! So I'm stuck with yogurt. Which is really strange, because I have been craving yogurt like crazy lately. Seriously, daily. And the last time I craved that stuff is when I was pregnant with Monkey.. I couldn't get enough blueberry yogurt and grape soda. CRAZY for it!! But no, not pregnant. So, it's just odd. Maybe I'm just old and crazy.

That new lawyer on Boston Legal, the brunette guy that argues all the time with the blonde guy? What other movies has he been in? He looks familiar, I liked him in something.. or thought he was cute maybe, and so his face looks familiar. I just love this show. Boston Legal and HEROES, the only 2 shows I can ever remember to watch.

Ach well. My point this evening, beware of vicious lettuce stealin' bunnies!! They're outta control!

This-n-That

For some reason I thought HEROES wasn't on lastnight, I thought they said there were no new episodes until January? And my Monday was ruined, until I realized there was INDEED a new episode :) So, we watched it. Monkey enjoys it, too. I'm glad that Nikki (psycho blonde) finally (I think) figured out she was being very naughty.. and is going to turn herself in. Not sure THAT was the answer, but we women don't always think logically..what can ya do. And I'm perplexed at the emotion-soaking flippy-haired brother.. is he sick because of Syrus? Is he going to become evil now? Because his vision of the future was a bit disturbing. And Hiro is so adorable. "How do you stop a man from blowing up?".. well, he said it differently, and it made me laugh. In the middle of all the serious.. he's funny. "I need to find that sword." :) And I'm excited the doomsday Nostradamus can now paint without being on heroin, yay. That was pretty neat. And is that cheerleader cute as a button, or what? It about broke my heart when she found out her best friend no longer remembered her. How horrid? That dad of hers needs a lesson in being a nicer human being... if he is indeed trying to be a human being. But, to sum it up, it was another really good episode. I can't wait for the next ones :)

So I'm supposed to be at Monkey's basketball practice, it started 7 minutes ago. But, MrNV decided at the last minute he wanted to go.. and now we're waiting. I feel bad being late. Oh well, he just HAAAAD to shower first. ..sigh..

Otherwise, all is well. My bloggy buddy and longtime friend is having some tests done tomorrow. I think the doctor is going to go in and shift her organs around, or something. Personally, I think he's checking to see if she really does have a heart. So I wish her the best, and will be calling her tomorrow to make sure she's still alive. Because, if not, I think I'm in her will! YEAHH BABY!!! And I have plans for that 32 cents!

And THANK YOU to everyone that commented on Monkey's blog, he was giddy. He's pondering his next post. I think he wants me to add some drawings or something. He thinks he's cool now, and tells everyone, "I have a blog." And they just sort of blankly stare at him, not really getting what he's talking about. I'll let y'all know when he posts again if you want to check it out :) You're all very sweet :) XOXO

The Monkey Bloggeth..

The Monkey has been wanting a blog. I'm sure he'll lose interest soon? Perhaps not. But, we had fun setting it up :) You'll have to read his profile, I laughed at his response to the random question. He's such a goof :)

Be suuuure to check it out :) Click HERE
